Jibrin Ibrahim is the Chair of the Editorial Board of Premium Times and the former Director of the Centre for Democracy and Development.

He is a political scientist and development expert with over 30 years of active engagement with civil society. He was a member of the Nigerian Electoral Reform Committee, Chair of the Global Call for Action Against Poverty and Chair of the West Africa Civil Society Forum Executive Committee. He was also former Nigeria Country Director for Global Rights: Partners for Justice. He was also an Associate Professor at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He holds a PhD in African Politics from the Institute of Political Studies of the University of Bordeaux in France and a BSc in Political Science and Government from Ahmadu Bello University.
